After a very rigorous and competitive application process, which included on-site interviews and in-depth assessments, our partner Alam Sehat Lestari (ASRI) was one of the three organizations to win in the "Saving the Environment" category. The award was presented by Indonesian Vice President, Jusuf Kalla.

ASRI Co-Founder, Hotlin Ompsunggu traveled with her father to Siak Palace in Riau to receive the award on ASRI's behalf. In an email to the team she says, "I am writing to thank everyone for the hard work that you have put into getting the Kalpataru Award. This award is not for me and not because of me. This is an award for ASRI, because of the ASRI staff, volunteers, Health In Harmony and our amazing donors who have unceasingly worked together to make a great impact and save the forest and the lives of people, to this point of receiving great recognition from the highest level of Indonesia's government."

As Hotlin says, thank you to each and every one of you who has passionately invested in this vision of a healthy planet. We couldn't do it without you.

Congratulations, ASRI!
