Daniel Tiberio Luz

Daniel has been part of the Brazil team since the beginning of 2024, managing initiatives with traditional and indigenous populations with Brazil’s team.

Born in São Paulo, where he graduated in Social Sciences (2007) and specialized in environmental management (2010), he has worked since his bachelor’s degree with indigenous communities in Brazil, in research, public bodies, the private sector, indigenous non-governmental organizations and indigenous associations . He worked in the south of the state of Amazonas, south and southeast of Brazil and in the state of Pará with activities related to cultural safeguarding, environmental preservation, strengthening agricultural practices, political strengthening, health, education, identification of areas of traditional occupation, in preparation and implementation of territorial and environmental management plans with original peoples.

Daniel is currently studying for a master’s degree in biodiversity and conservation at the Federal University of Pará, in the city of Altamira, where he lives with his wife and son. He has immense passion and commitment to traditional populations in the search to guarantee the quality of life of this generation and future generations who are intrinsically related to the planetary future.
