Edione Goveia

Edione Goveia or Eddi (as his family and friends call him) is an agronomist graduated from the Federal University of Pará. Born and raised in a riverside community on the banks of the Tocantins River, from an early age he learned to respect, value and care for nature and its beauties.

In 2014, while living in the Altamira region, he began working with people and communities in the Terra do Meio region, supporting the development of production chains for socio-biodiversity products and promoting meetings and exchanges between local groups, companies and partners. At SAMA Health in Harmony, Eddi works with the communities of the Iriri and Curuá rivers, supporting them and promoting the exchange of experiences in forest-based economic initiatives. Her work is guided by care and respect for the local culture and way of life.
