Enrique Falceto De Barros, MD
Enrique has been a family doctor of a rural town (in a biodiversity hotspot) in the mountains of southern Brazil for the past 12 years. He has been a compassionate environmental health activist from birth, and his mom teases that he is a “planet doctor.” Enrique is the past-chair of the WONCA (World Organization of Family Doctors) Working Party on the Environment, and he coordinated the Policy Brief for Brazil for the Lancet Countdown Tracking Progress for Health and Climate Change.
What is one thing that excites you about Health In Harmony’s work?
Enrique loves Health in Harmony as it proves that person and community centered care is a pathway to protect nature. He is especially grateful for HIH demonstrating that primary care is part of the solution for planetary health.
