Audience: Undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in joining a scheduled course.
Duration: 12 days; Upcoming opportunities are January 5-16, 2019 and June 15-26, 2019.
Format: Field courses combine immersive field experiences with readings, workshops, and guided discussions and reflections. US and Indonesian lecturers lead the group for the full duration of the trip.
Field courses balance academics with experiential, community-based learning. You will come to understand concepts of planetary health through readings, field trips, service projects, workshops, lectures, and facilitated discussions. This course emphasizes hope and motivates students to find ways to act on social, environmental, and economic issues, creating the next generation of planetary health change-makers.
