Affordable healthcare reduces illegal logging and deforestation, improving human wellbeing and reducing infant mortality in the process. Mobile clinics and health expeditions ensure the health of today’s forest guardians, and the forest guardians of tomorrow.
With rainforests playing a key role as carbon sinks, their preservation and reforestation are key to mitigating climate change. Health In Harmony currently supports communities in protecting 9.4 million hectares of rainforest in Indonesia, Madagascar, and the Brazilian Amazon, with plans to protect 20 million hectares by 2030.
