Sanda Flegar
Sanda is supporting HIH in its efforts to set up sound internal systems and human resources procedures to ensure that HIH hires and maintains the best talent for its ambitious goals. Sanda is also supporting HIH in its legal compliance and the implementation of cyber security rules to its expanding research and patient databases.
Sanda has been working in the humanitarian and development sector for over 20 years. Her experience spans from development organizations such as Save the Children and Mercy Corps to UN agencies such as UNICEF and UNDP. Sanda has worked with Doctors without Borders (MSF) for the past 13 years where she set up internal systems and HR procedures for MSF’s international programs in countries such as Pakistan, Ethiopia and Haiti.
She holds a BA in law and a BA in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution as well as a Diploma in Leadership and Developmental Youth Work. Sanda is also a certified chef aspiring to champion local, seasonal plant forward cuisine.
