Sarata Kaba
As a member of the partnerships team, Sarata builds and cultivates long-term, meaningful relationships with individual donors and develops strategic giving and stewardship approaches that support fundraising for the organization’s ambitious scaling goals.
Sarata is an accomplished nonprofit executive with 15 years of experience in fundraising in the United States and across Africa. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), her expertise lies in partnerships, board and donor relations, events management, communications and grants management.
Prior to joining HIH, Sarata held various leadership roles primarily within health-focused nonprofit organizations such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, SLE Lupus Foundation and Last Mile Health.
Sarata holds a BA in Communications and Marketing from Brooklyn College (CUNY) and an MBA in Marketing and Management (Entrepreneurship) from Baruch’s Zicklin School of Business (CUNY) in New York City.
In her spare time, Sarata enjoys traveling, being around family and friends, and discovering new restaurants.
