Previous President

MJ “Jo” Whitehouse is a board-certified physician. After a long career as a teacher and clinician, Jo switched to drug development, mostly as an independent consultant for private corporations. She retired in 2013 to focus on her personal causes: health care, conservation/climate change, education, and poverty. She moved to San Francisco to study biochemistry as an undergraduate at USC – followed by medical school at UCSF — and has remained there ever since!
